John W. Adams was the pastor at the anti-gay Calvary Freewill Baptist Church in Darbydale, Ohio. In 2007, he was arrested by police at his home for downloading child sexual abuse material. He was caught because police were monitoring a CSAM website. A year later, he pleaded guilty and was sentenced to three years probation with no internet access and having to register as a sex offender.
Jason Musselman was a Republican elected as Alderman in Toulon Township in Illinois. In March, 2022, he was arrested for producing, distributing, and possessing child sexual exploitation materials. He was charged with both state and federal charges.
Clifford James “C. J.” Neesmith was chairman of the Port Wentworth Planning Commission when he was arrested for possession child sexual abuse materials on September 12, 2022. He was removed from the Commission the following day. Coincidentally, the Port Wentworth City Council discussed restructuring the Planning Commission on September 14 and reorganized it in October. In the past, Neesmith was also the Chair of the local Chamber of Commerce.
Gary Lee Bell is a former Assistant Attorney General in Utah’s Child Protection Division. In his job, he prosecuted people who committed crimes against children. At home, he created child sexual abuse material.
Alejandro Richard Velasquez Gomez is an incel and a rightwing activist/extremist who attended CPAC. Later, he threatened Turning Point USA’s summit in Tampa, Florida, with mass violence, supposedly angry they did not invite Nick Fuentes. Peter van Vliet is a Republican who was appointed to fill a vacancy on the Holyoke City Commission in 2014 and was re-elected, most recently in 2019. He also coached cross country, youth lacrosse and junior varsity basketball at Annunciation Catholic School, though not since Spring 2019. In December 2019, he was arrested and charged with 12 counts of possessing child sex abuse material (CSAM). He had 12 videos of children as young as two engaged in sex acts with other children or adults.
Joel Sartori was Assistant Treasurer for Carl Paladino’s unsuccessful campaigns for governor and for the GOP nomination for Congress. Sartori was convicted in 2017 of both possessing and distributing child sex abuse material. Paladino has known and employed Sartori for years and knows of his conviction. Paladino said Sartori has paid his dues and deserves another chance.
Kevin Madden was an Evangelical pastor in Arkansas. He was arrested for sexual indecency with a child, engaging in sex explicit conduct for use in a visual medium.
Jimmy Ray Neal was a Putnam County, Tennessee commissioner until he resigned in July 2022. He was arrested in May, 2022 for possession of child sex abuse material. The US Attorney alleges he was the administrator of a CSAM sharing group on Kik, a popular app for pedophiles. His trial has been postponed to August 2023.
Patrick Trowbridge was a City Councilor in Rockwell, Texas. He had filed for re-election in 2020 and was running unopposed. But then The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children sent a tip to the Rockwell police that someone in Rockwell was sending multiple videos of child sex abuse material. They tracked the IP address to Trowbridge, got a search warrant and found material on his phone. He pleaded guilty to one count of possessing CSAM and was sentenced to ten years in prison and 10 supervised release.
