John W. Adams was the pastor at the anti-gay Calvary Freewill Baptist Church in Darbydale, Ohio. In 2007, he was arrested by police at his home for downloading child sexual abuse material. He was caught because police were monitoring a CSAM website. A year later, he pleaded guilty and was sentenced to three years probation with no internet access and having to register as a sex offender.
His defense attorney said that he kept his viewing of CSAM from family and friends and was never a threat to children. Children were raped and abused to create the CSAM he was viewing. It would not exist without those who seek it out. And since when does any child predator share his criminality with friends and family?
