Brian Ormes is running for the Republican nomination to represent Kentucky District 67 in the state legislature. The primary is May 21, 2024.
According to police reports, Ormes was shopping with his son at Walmart. Three youths were playing with a ball in the bike aisle and the ball nearly hit Ormes’ son. This enraged Ormes, who followed the kids and is on video hitting one of them in the back of the head then pushing him up against the shelves and putting his hands around the kid’s neck and strangling him.
He’s been charged with felony first-degree strangulation as well as two misdemeanors for menacing and fourth-degree assault.
