Ronald C. Kline was appointed Orange County Superior Court Judge by Republican Governor Pete Wilson in 1995. A Canadian hacker emailed a trojan horse that enabled him to discover over 1500 separate pieces of child sexual abuse material and forwarded them to a group of people who advocate against child sexual abuse. After that, a man came forward alleging he had been abused by the judge when he was just fourteen. After years of legal wrangling including the claim that since a hacker exposed him the material was illegally seized, he finally pledge guilty to a lesser charge and was sentenced to 27 months.
