John Lowe was the pastor of the New Life Christian Church in Warsaw, Indiana. In 2022, he confessed to adultery in a Sunday sermon. The only problem is that it’s not adultery when the woman is only sixteen. It is child molestation. It is rape. The woman and her husband responded when Lowe confessed, standing up in the church and recounting what happened, calling Lowe a liar. And the church praised the pastor.
The church cut the video feed to prevent recording the confrontation. But a congregant shot a video.
Other women came forward to denounce the way the church and Lowe protected abusers. One was Lowe’s daughter-in-law who said his son abused her and killed her dog. It was all hushed up and she was made to feel guilty. Lowes’ son is also accused of of sexually abusing a girl in high school and, again, Lowe covered it up, denying anything happened to a child services’ investigator.
