Stephen David Rambler was the pastor of Wrightsville’s Church on the Rock, a successful growing ministry until he got into legal trouble on two fronts. The feds were investigating him for extortion, using the US mail no less. He placed ads in adult magazines soliciting photos that he then used to extort the person who sent the photos. He’s in trouble with the county for forcing a fifteen-year-old boy who was living with the Rambler family to perform oral sex on him. The abuse continued for five years until Rambler raped the victim who then moved out. Rambler was very lucky the victim refused to testify, but Rambler confessed and also confessed to his congregation.
