Gisela Castro Medina was the Chair of the College Republicans at St. Thomas University in St. Paul, Minnesota. In 2021, she was arrested for underage sex trafficking. She was accused of helping Anton Lazzaro recruit and traffick minors for sex.
She reached a plea deal, pleading guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit sex trafficking of minors, as well as a second count of obstruction in the sex trafficking investigation. The other five counts of underage sex trafficking were dropped.
