Rev. C. Stephen White, more commonly known as “Brother Stephen.” preached against Muslims, LGBTIQA people, and other things deemed sinful by the hardline evangelical right. He often focused on ministering to youth, organizing basketball games and even dressing up as Caleb the Clown. He also had an active campus ministry.
He was arrested after asking a young boy if he wanted a ride. The boy declined and then he asked him if he wanted to make some money. The kid still said no and White then proffered sex for money. The boy memorized the license plate number and walked to his aunt’s house where he called his mom, who then called the police. The boy was fourteen.
