Jon Matthews was a conservative radio host who also wrote opinion columns for the weekly Fort Bend/Southwest Star. He was malicious in attacking political opponents such as calling the Sugar Land mayor Mayor Osama. In 2004, he pleaded guilty to indecency with an eleven-year-old child, a neighbor girl who came over to play with his dog. He originally had a deal with probation. He originally avoided jail time, but he violated the terms and was sent to prison.
