3: Jim Jordan

Jim Jordan is a Republican representative from Ohio and a part of the GOP leadership team. He chairs the Judiciary Committee and the snipe-hunting subcommittee on Weaponization of the Federal Government. Although he has not written one bill that became law, he is a familiar face to Americans because no one chases a camera like Jim Jordan chases a camera.

There is a shamelessness in Jim Jordan that makes him a perfect avatar of the Republican House. Although no one has alleged he has committed sexual assault, he is on this list for his role in covering up the sexual assaults of his students while he was a wrestling coach. He owed them a duty of care. Instead he protected the man molesting them.

Several Ohio State University athletes who were treated and seen by the schools sports medicine doctor Richard Strauss have alleged that he molested them. Several claim to have told Jim Jordan, who was a wrestling coach, about the abuse and that he did nothing.

In fact, he helped cover up the crime. Two also claim that Jordan pressured them to take back their accusations, in essence, witness tampering and obstruction of justice. Parents of one accuser said Jordan called them to ask them to pressure their son to recall his allegations. Jordan claims nobody knew what was happen, but students swear they told him directly.

Jim Jordan is currently vying to be Speaker of the House. There’s some logic to it. After all, child rapist Dennis Hastert was also a Republican Speaker of the House.
