Schenectady County Republican Chairman Armando Tebano pleaded guilty in 2007 to lesser charges of second-degree harassment for fondling a 14-year-old girl. The charges he avoided by pleading guilty were third-degree sexual abuse, forcible
touching, and child endangerment. He got 250 hours of community service and was fined $295.
Meanwhile, the Catholic school the minor child attended kicked her out of school while the case was adjudicated. It seems going to the police when you are sexually assaulted is a cause for expulsion. Her family sued, but the case was dismissed.
