Wesley Dingus was the mayor of Butler, Ohio. He resigned after his recent arrest for voyeurism. He was also arrested in August, 2025, for running over a person wanted for a parole violation.
Dingus was filmed sniffing at least four pieces of a minor girl’s underwear and touching himself. She had suspected him of going in her room, catching him there when she came back after leaving for school. She put in a camera that filmed him in the act.
A second minor girl in the same home claimed she suspected the same thing as her dirty laundry had been rearranged, her underwear no longer at the bottom, but on the top. She said she would feel safer if he were not in the home.
He has pled not guilty and is out on $10,000 bond, wearing an ankle monitor, and ordered not to contact the accuser.
