1409: Ned B. Hansen

Ned Brady Hansen

Ned B. Hansen was the fire chief in Tremonton, Utah and at Jackson Hole before that. In January 2025, he was arrested after allegedly sharing child sexual abuse material. Despite the advice of police and the district attorney, he was released by the judge, who turned out to be his alleged partner in preying on children, #1408 Kevin Christensen. Incredibly, the Judge Christensen did not disclose his sexual relationship with Hansen. Less surprisingly, he also did not disclose their alleged mutual interest in child sexual abuse material. Hansen was charged with eight counts of sexual exploitation of a minor. He is now being held without bail in Weber County Jail.

The case began with a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The user info had an address and phone number connected to Hansen. They carried out a search warrant and found eight instances of Hansen sharing material with children between ten and twelve.

Since his arrest, a child told her parents she thought he sexually abused her. She was less than ten years old. The investigation revealed that he had discussions on social media messaging that corroborate her allegation. Two of Hansen’s family members have sued him in civil court alleging that he sexually abused them, one since 2018 and the other since 2020.
