John Kevin Taylor is the former mayor of Coldstream, Kentucky. He and his wife were recently arrested. He was arrested for sexually abusing a girl under the age of twelve and for possessing child sexual abuse material (CSAM). She was arrested for failure to report him. One of his employees brought Taylor’s work phone to his wife to tell her about the CSAM on his phone. Not only did she not inform the police; she gave the phone back to Taylor.
Thankfully, the employee informed the police who asked his wife about the phone. She told them she gave it back to Taylor. They also interviewed the child who informed them that Taylor had sexually assaulted her several times. John and Michelle Taylor were both arrested.
John Taylor is charged with one count of sexual abuse of a child under 12 years old, two counts of possession of CSAM and one count of tampering with evidence. Michelle Taylor is now charged with one count of tampering with evidence, one count of failing to report child abuse and one count of distribution of CSAM.
