Christopher David Burk was a Salt Lake City Fire Department captain, an EMT instructor at a local community college, and worked at a juvenile detention center. He is alleged to have used his role as EMT instructor to touch his students inappropriately in the guise of doing a medical assessment. He is facing 14 counts of forcible sexual abuse and 1 count of attempted forcible sexual abuse. One count of attempted forcible sexual abuse was dismissed.
He was initially charged with six counts when two students came forward, but an additional five women came forward. One was still in high school.
