Harrison “Ted” Clark was elected Chair of the The Clay County Soil and Water Conservation District. He is also the son and campaign manager for Beth Clark, a member of the Clay County School Board in Florida. In January, he was arrested in Nassau County for traveling there to meet someone he believed was a fourteen-year-old boy to have sex (rape.) “Hope I’m not too old for ya,” he wrote in one of the several texts he exchanged with the putative 14-year-old.
However, he was actually communicating with law enforcement who met him and arrested him when he arrived. The Soil and Water Conservation Board released a statement saying they were blindsided by the news. He has resigned from his position on the Board.
