Phillip Fisher Jr. was a pastor at the Center of Universal Divinity, a Republican party ward leader, and the faith-based outreach coordinator for Moms for Liberty, the book-banning, anti-gay, hate group so beloved by Republican governors despite being a convicted and registered sex offender.
In 2012, when he lived in Chicago, Fisher pleaded guilty to aggravated sexual abuse of a fourteen-year-old boy and served three years in prison. His other eight charges were dismissed. Fisher was twenty-five. He is on the national sex offender registry. The Republican county committee has demanded his resignation and Moms For Liberty blames the government.
