Dakota Kennemer was a youth pastor at Grace Baptist Church in Idaho Falls, ID. He is being investigated for an inappropriate relationship with a minor from 2019 to 2022. When it came to the attention of the church, they met with him and he confessed to sexually touching the victim. He was fired. This was in December, 2022.
In January, the pastor met with the police and they began the investigation. They served a search warrant in March but he had not taken advantage of that long interval and suggestive photos of the victim were found on his phone with thousands of texts, many of the inappropriate from a 31-year-old man to an underage girl. In June, he was indicted for one count of sexual battery. In August, 2023, a grand jury indicted him for two additional counts. His case numbers are CR42-23-6951 and CR42-23-5871,
