Eli Nicolosi was the Winnebago County Republican Central Committee Chairperson who also lost a primary for state senate in Illinois. His primary opponent publicized his marital problems, including that she had gotten an order of protection.
Nonetheless, in October, 2022, he broke into her home and beat up her boyfriend, tearing his ear lobe, biting him in the back, and giving him a black eye and scratches.
Nicolosi was charged with home invasion, aggravated battery, and violating an order of protection. He is awaiting trial, the next hearing is May 30, 2034. The boyfriend is suing him.
