Tudor Dixon was the Michigan Republican nominee for governor. She was asked if she would support an abortion exception for a 14-year-old girl who was impregnated by rape. She would not. In fact, she believes that forcing a 14-year-old girl to carry a rapist’s baby to term may be healing. She claims she knows this by spending time with children of rape and that the mother-child bond would be healing.
Jack Murphy’s online persona is openly misogynist and xenophobic. There’s even a Twitter account archiving some of it because he’s worked to clean up his presentation. He claimed that feminists need rape, though perhaps he regrets that because this article is even gone from the Wayback Machine.
Luke Bowen was the Political Director of Texas Right to Life and a volunteer blogger for the state Republican party. Then he was arrested for trying to solicit a minor. He was caught in a sting by a police officer pretending to be a 13-year-old girl. After his arrest, Right to Life scrubbed their web site of his name which took some work as he was a spokesperson and represented the group on many occasions.
Then, he topped it off with this: “There’s a lot more people that have molested people than you’re letting on. Are we gonna kick them all (out)?”
Perry Hooper was an Alabama state representative. He was also the 2016 Donald Trump Alabama campaign co-chair. He was arrested for felony sex abuse. Charges were dropped because the victim refused to testify.
Smith wrote to Wm. F. Buckley, founder of National Review, befriended him, writing letters back and forth, sharing his views on Chappaquiddick, for example. Smith was a fan of Buckley’s magazine and described himself as a Barry Goldwater supporter which made him appealing to Buckley who began advocating for him. The advocacy led to a successful appeal that moved the government to offer Smith time served. Everyone was certain this charming man would not kill again.
Gary Busey is an Oscar-nominated actor perhaps most famous now for his turn on Celebrity Apprentice and his vocal support for Donald Trump. In 2022, he allegedly sexual assaulted three women at a Monster Mania convention.
He was arrested and charged with two counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual contact, one count of criminal attempt/criminal sexual contact and one count of harassment.
Alejandro Richard Velasquez Gomez is an incel and a rightwing activist/extremist who attended CPAC. Later, he threatened Turning Point USA’s summit in Tampa, Florida, with mass violence, supposedly angry they did not invite Nick Fuentes. Joshua Schopp was a candidate for the Central Community School Board. He was arrested in August 2022, after exchanging messages with an underage girl on social media. She told him she was 17 at first, but when the conversation turned sexual, she informed him she was only 15. It was after that he sent her a picture and video of his genitalia. He asked her to send him nude pictures and to meet with him for sex. He was charged with indecent behavior with a juvenile and with solicitation of a minor.
Dale Berry is the mayor of Magee, Mississippi. In August, 2022, his wife filed domestic violence charges against him. He admitted hitting her and had no plan to resign. He said he plans to plead self defense and accused his wife of cheating on him.
