Bernd Niels “Dutch” Deblouw ran for city council in Longview, Texas, in 2016 and 2022. He lost both times. He is a small business owner and also managed the finances for East Texas Christian School and New Covenant Church of Longview.
On August 15, 2022, he was arrested and charged with intent to distribute Child Sexual Abuse Material. He was released on bail. In April, 2023, he was arrested again for Invasive video recording. The date of the alleged offense was August 14, 2022, a day before his arrest.
