Charles Kyle Adcock was a youth pastor at Woodward Avenue Baptist Church in Muscle Shoals from 2010 to 2012. While youth pastor, he began molesting a child, a 14-year-old girl. Police recovered over 200,000 texts between Adcock and the girl over three years. When she was nineteen she went to police. He was charged with twenty counts of rape and nine counts of sodomy.
Trafficking? That he doesn’t care about despite asking for more money to fight trafficking. He created a new trafficking unit, but it’s not clear what it does. He did not get a single conviction in 2020 and only four in 2021. No wonder Texas is second in the nation for most reported trafficking cases. Elijah Schaffer is a podcaster who was fired by Glenn Beck’s The Blaze for sexually assaulting a co-worker. Allegedly, he groped her breasts at a film premiere. They did an internal investigation that sustained her allegation and fired him. A second woman, a former employee, sued Blaze, alleging they knew of Schaffer’s behavior but retaliated by firing her when she complained.
Aron Peña worked as district director for Rep. Mayra Flores. He was fired when it was revealed he had a long history of sexual harassment complaints. Jorge Ariel Benavides was the pastor of Iglesia Cristiana Casa de Dios and a promoter of conspiracy theories such the idea that vaccines contain microchips. He was arrested and charged with raping a woman with special needs whom he threatened with putting in a mental institution.
Joe Lonsdale is a co-founder of Palintir, with Peter Thiel. He also founded an accounting software company and is one of the tech billionaires who finance the right. As a Libertarian, he most strongly supports Rand Paul. He was also a mentor for engineering students at Stanford, his alma mater. A former mentee, Ellie Clougherty sued him alleging sexual abuse and rape.
David Farren was the lead pastor of Anchor Church in Texarkana when he was arrested for crimes he committed as youth pastor at Heritage Baptist Church, also in Texarkana. Two women came forward to report they were raped by him when they attended his youth ministry classes.
Luke Bowen was the Political Director of Texas Right to Life and a volunteer blogger for the state Republican party. Then he was arrested for trying to solicit a minor. He was caught in a sting by a police officer pretending to be a 13-year-old girl. After his arrest, Right to Life scrubbed their web site of his name which took some work as he was a spokesperson and represented the group on many occasions.
Matthew McIlravy was elected Mayor of Pilot Point, TX, in May 2022. Prior to that he served on the City Council. He was endorsed by the Denton County Republicans. A month later he was arrested for soliciting a minor, a child under the age of 14. Investigators believed that he may have communicated with more children.
Patrick Trowbridge was a City Councilor in Rockwell, Texas. He had filed for re-election in 2020 and was running unopposed. But then The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children sent a tip to the Rockwell police that someone in Rockwell was sending multiple videos of child sex abuse material. They tracked the IP address to Trowbridge, got a search warrant and found material on his phone. He pleaded guilty to one count of possessing CSAM and was sentenced to ten years in prison and 10 supervised release.
