David Stone was a Richmond, Virginia, police officer. He was arrested in January 2023 and charged with fifty child sexual abuse material charges. The Sheriff’s office began investigating in 2022 when they got a tip from Southern Virginia Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. They searched his home in November 2022. When his electronic devices were examined fifty images of CSAM were found including pictures of infants.
Gerald Fairbanks was an Ada County Deputy for twenty years until he retired in 2011. Boise is in Ada County. In December 2022, he was arrested and charged with several counts of child sex abuse. The allegations involve two different children, both of whom were under twelve during the time they were allegedly abused.
Alexander Nicholson was a Sheriff’s Deputy in Onandaga County, New York. In 2011, he was sentenced two two years in state prison in a plea deal that allowed him to plead guilty to one count of abusing his authority as a law enforcement officer to engage in a sexual encounter with a 14-year-old boy. That was significantly less then the 36 counts of using his authority to sexually abuse two underage boys.
He reoffended.
Christopher Schroder was a Cincinnati police officer. In January 2023, he pleaded guilty to five misdemeanor counts of dereliction of duty. During more than a decade serving on the Personal Crimes Unit, he failed to turn in rape kits and DNA swabs, performed inadequate investigations of crimes with vulnerable victims such a minors and people with developmental disabilities, and sometimes performed no investigation whatsoever. There were 47 cases of dereliction and a 48th by the time the case came to court.
Aaron Mitchell was a Customs and Border Protection officer in Arizona when he was arrested in April 2022 for kidnapping and sexually assaulting a fifteen-year-old girl. According to the police, Mitchell approached a girl walking to school. He was wearing a tactical vest that identified him as a CBP officer. He asked her for her documentation. After she gave it to him, he told her he was taking her to the police station. Instead, he took her to an apartment complex where he raped her.
Scott Yotka was a Jacksonville, Florida, Sheriff’s Police Emergency Communications Officer when he arrested for producing and distributing child sexual abuse material. Of course that means he sexually abused children.
He’s always been a creep, marrying his cousin, cheating on his wife, sexually harassing women. There’s an infamous scene in the second Borat movie. In January 2023, he was sued by a longtime employee who accused his of abuse of power, sexual assault and sexual harassment. According to her, he demanded sexual favors as part of her job. Of course, these allegations were overshadowed by her information about selling pardons.
Christopher Haenel was a deputy sheriff in Adams County. In 2022, he pleaded guilty to accessing child sexual abuse material. The social media platform Kik alerted the police that Haenel was sharing child sexual abuse material on their platform. He pleaded guilty to just one count and was sentenced to 41 months and 5 years probation.
Gordon Grabau was a Special Deputy Sheriff in Linn County, Iowa. In July, 2022, he was arrested for possession of child sexual abuse material. The FBI served a search warrant on him in July 2021. A special deputy is a volunteer deputy. For example, a sheriff’s search and rescue “posse” might have many special deputies. They get paid a nominal sum to qualify for worker’s comp, but are mainly volunteers. They are still in a position of public trust.
They found over 160,000 files of child sexual abuse material, including BDSM child sexual abuse material and CSAM involving minors under twelve, even infants and toddlers. He was sentenced to 12 years in prison in April, 2023
William Ray Pruitt was the police chief of Center Hill, Florida, for about 18 months in the late 90s. It was controversial. In 2008, he ran as a Republican for the state House of Representatives. In December, 2022, he was arrested for sexually battering a 14-year-old girl and then stalking her, threatening her to prevent her from coming forward. She did not come forward for two years because she was terrified of him.
