Sexual Misconduct, Solicitation of a Minor

Kent Stermon was appointed the the Florida Board of Governors by Gov. Ron DeSantis, a man he helped elect and to whom he donated generously. Stermon was an influential GOP donor and active in politics without running for office. In December, 2022, he killed himself. It was rumored that it was due to an investigation of sexual misconduct.

Joe Lonsdale is a co-founder of Palintir, with Peter Thiel. He also founded an accounting software company and is one of the tech billionaires who finance the right. As a Libertarian, he most strongly supports Rand Paul. He was also a mentor for engineering students at Stanford, his alma mater. A former mentee, Ellie Clougherty sued him alleging sexual abuse and rape.

Peter Thiel is the founder of PayPal. In 1995, he co-wrote a book with David O. Sacks where they summed up date rape as “seductions that are later regretted.” It’s called “The Diversity Myth” and is an argument against diversity and speech codes and efforts to mitigate white supremacy.

Joel Sartori was Assistant Treasurer for Carl Paladino’s unsuccessful campaigns for governor and for the GOP nomination for Congress. Sartori was convicted in 2017 of both possessing and distributing child sex abuse material. Paladino has known and employed Sartori for years and knows of his conviction. Paladino said Sartori has paid his dues and deserves another chance.

Vince McMahon is the Chairman of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and a close friend of Donald Trump. He even paid $5 million to Trump’s fraudulent foundation. He’s a generous donor to Republicans as well. He was forced out in 2022 when the board learned he spent millions on settle sexual harassment suits. However, he forced his way back even though there are pending lawsuits for sexual harassment and brand news ones as well.

Terry Peters was a Arizona Republican donor. His wife, Mary Peters, was Bush’s Transportation Secretary. In 2012, when he was 66, he was arrested for repeatedly raping a seven-year-old girl. The girl told her mother that he raped her several times from 2009 to 2010 when she was just seven.

T. Denny Sanford is a GOP mega-donor, giving a million to Americans for Prosperity, the anti-tax group, and ten thousand here and twenty-five thousand there. He’s among the elite class of Republican donors. He’s even more influential at the state level in Arizona and South Dakota where he divides his time and his political advocacy. He is also an “implicated individual” in a child sexual abuse material investigation.

Bill Hutchinson is a Dallas, TX, developer and reality TV personality on the Lifetime show Marrying Millions. A young girl has alleged he provided her and other teens alcohol and marijuana. She also alleges he touched her inappropriately and sexually assaulted her. Three other women claim he sexually assaulted him. In California, he’s been charged with rape of an unconscious person and five counts of non-consensual touching of two then-sixteen year old girls

543: Darrell Cafasso

Organizational Cover-Up, Sexual Harassment

Darrell Cafasso was head of litigation at Goldman Sachs and a GOP donor who has even donated to Ron DeSantis. He was also accused of sexual harassment and Goldman Sachs was accused of covering it up. A confidante of the woman he harassed reported and and sued Goldman Sachs alleging retaliation and organizational coverup, but a judge ruled she had to go through arbitration, not a lawsuit.
