Robert Ray was a Whitewater prosecutor, the Independent Counsel that followed Ken Starr, wrapping up the investigation and publishing the final reports. He also pursued the Republican nomination for U. S. Senate in New Jersey in 2002, but withdrew.
He was arrested for stalking after his ex-girlfriend went to the police, complaining that he continued to email, call, and visit her after they broke up.
