Timothy Jason Jeltema was a youth pastor at Champion Forest Baptist Church in near Houston, Texas. He was arrested in 2018 about a month after the church fired him. He had admitted improper communications with an 18-year-old member of the church. When the church informed members why he was fired, a 17-year-old came forward to report he had sent her nude photos. Her parents and the church went to the police.
When he was arrested, police reported he had communicated and solicited nude photos from 20 to 25 young girls aged 14 to 17. He pled guilty to online solicitation and was sentenced to 5 years.
