44: Robin W. Vanderwall

Robin Vanderwall was a conservative campus activist. He managed successful political campaign for two Republican candidates and was going to law school when he was arrested for soliciting sex from an underage boy who happened to be a Virginia Beach police officer. He was arrested when he went to the arranged meeting with the 14-year-old boy who wasn’t.

He was, for a time, a director of Faith and Family, a nonprofit used by Abramoff to move money. Since prison, he has become an advocate for more lenient, or more “rational” sex offender policies. His advocacy for better post-prison treatment is not limited to sex offenders and he has become an advocate against the racism and oppression of the carceral system.
