Anthony Moore worked as a pastor at the Texas megachurch The Village Church in Fort Worth, Texas until 2017 when he was caught filming a youth pastor while showering. The man had noticed a phone wrapped in a towel on a window ledge by the shower. He looked at it and found several videos of himself showering. He reported it to the church and the church fired Moore. But they believed he could be restored.
So when he got a job at Centreville College, they were aware he had filmed an adult colleague, but the school was not told it was a continuous, repeated transgression. When they learned that, they fired Moore.
Ironically, in 2016 he spoke about how important it is to expose abusers. In fact, he says if you don’t expose an abusive husband, you’re failing him, not loving him.
