John Jones was the chief of intelligence and counter-terrorism for the Texas Dept. of Public Safety. He was a vocal supporter of Trump and the “Wall.” He participated in a press event with Trump touting the wall.
In 2019, woman called the police from his home. She claimed that she had attended a party at Jones’ home the night before. The woman claimed he took her out on an ATV and raped her out in the woods. Jones claimed it was consensual. A judge dismissed her application for a protective order because he didn’t think she was convincing though the woman went to an Emergency Room where they identified trauma to her body.
Police, searching his phone, found one child sexual exploitation image so he was arrested for possession of child sexual exploitation material. This charged was dropped on Dec. 2, 2022 because the DA felt possession of a single image could be accidental.
