Daniel James Halloran served on the New York City Council as a Republican representing Queens for three years. He was elected in 2010 and arrested in 2013 for bribery and fraud, and was caught in a payoff scheme by FBI officers he thought were developers.
While traveling from Cuba to New York, he was arrested in Miami when customs agents searched his phone and found child sexual abuse material. They found over 1300 videos. Halloran told them that about 2/3rd to 3/4th were CSAM. He was charged with possession and transportation of CSAM.
