Jason Kennedy was the principal of Liberty Christian Academy in Athens, Tennessee. In August 2022, he was charged with sexual assault by an authority figure and solicitation of a minor. The allegations were made by a nineteen-year-old girl who claimed she was underage at the time and a student at the Academy.
According to the student, the school secretary Brittany Branham encouraged the girl to allow Kennedy’s sexual abuse and provided “cover” for his assaults.
As the investigation continued, three more victims were identified and he was charged with eleven new charges. They include sexual activity involving a minor, solicitation of a minor to observe sexual conduct, six counts of sexual battery by an authority figure, two counts of violation of the Child Protect Act, and sexual battery.
