979: Rafael Cuevas

Child Molestation, Child Rape, Sexual Assault, Sexual Battery

Rafael Cuevas was the pastor of Temple of Prayer Assembly of God church, a church his father built with his own hands. In 2021, he was arrested and charged with sexually abusing a child under the age of twelve from 2017 to 2020. His official charges were two counts of sexual battery and six counts of lewd and lascivious molestation against a victim under 12 years old.

978: Joseph Kade Abbott

Child Molestation, Sexual Abuse, Sexual Assault, Sexual Battery

Abbott was arrested in North Carolina in January, 2023, and brought to Blount County, Tennessee, for arraignment. The family originally went to the police in June. He was arrested for sexually abusing a fourteen-year-old girl. The charge of sexual battery by an authority figure is used against defendants who use their job or legal status to take advantage of their victim, or have parental or custodial authority.

975: Barry S. Edwards

Abuse of Power or Authority, Coercion

Barry S. Edwards was a Florida State University professor when he organized a fundraiser for Giuliani’s presidential run. However, he withdrew from the Pinellas County Republican effort when it was revealed that he was accused of coercion. A nineteen-year-old student claimed Edwards got drunk, showed him porn, and asked him to masturbate. The student claimed Edwards threatened him with bad grades. Later, the student asked to dismiss the case.

974: Matt Schlapp

Sexual Battery

Matt Schlapp is the Chair of the American Conservative Union that hosts the CPAC conference. He also chairs the political action committee. In 2022, a staffer on the Herschel Walker campaign accused him of sexual battery by groping him while he drove Schlapp while Schlapp was in Georgia for the campaign.

973: Rudy Giuliani

Abuse of Power or Authority, Sexual Assault, Sexual Harassment

He’s always been a creep, marrying his cousin, cheating on his wife, sexually harassing women. There’s an infamous scene in the second Borat movie. In January 2023, he was sued by a longtime employee who accused his of abuse of power, sexual assault and sexual harassment. According to her, he demanded sexual favors as part of her job. Of course, these allegations were overshadowed by her information about selling pardons.

972: Tristan Tate

Rape, Trafficking

Tristan Tate, along with his more well-known brother Andrew Tate, is a kickboxer turned social media influencer who pushes rightwing extremism. A dual citizen of the United Kingdom and the United States. He has been indicted with his brother for rape and sex trafficking and is currently in prison in Romania. It is believed that the two of them moved to Romania because thought they could get away with their criminality. After being denied bail several times, they remain in Romania but on house arrest.

971: Michael Brisky

Sexual Harassment

Michael Brisky was a Republican election commissioner in Cattaraugus County, New York. Now he is the Majority Leader of the Cattaraugus County Legislature. In 2019, that same legislature referred him along with Eric Firkel to the Attorney General for sexual harassment after conducting an investigation.
