Fred C. Smeltzer, Jr went on a camping trip with his best friend and raped his best friend’s fifteen-year-old daughter after getting her drunk. He was a Republican member of the Wrightsvulle Borough Council and was asked to resign after he pleaded no contest and was sentenced to six months in prison and six months house arrest.
