Priscilla Giddings is an extreme right state representative in Idaho. When Aaron von Ehlinger was accused of rape, several of his supporters accused the teenage intern of lying. Giddings went beyond that, sending out a constituent newsletter doxxing the teen and accusing her of lying. She sent her name, address, and a Facebook post accusing the nineteen-year-old intern of lying out to constituents.
She also drafted von Ehlinger’s press release denying the rape allegation. This was revealed in regard to the victim’s lawsuit against von Ehlinger, Priscilla Giddings, and the Idaho Legislature for retaliation after she reported the rape and for efforts at publicly shaming the teenager for being raped.
During the vote on her censure, she claimed those censuring her were corrupt and that she would do the same again. This caused the intern to fear for her safety and for her family. She was censured and lost her committee assignment.
