Josh Duggar is one of the famed Duggar family who had a reality show on The Learning Channel called 19 Kids and Counting. Duggar also worked for the Family Research Council, a sanctimonious anti-gay organization. He molested five girls and his parents knew and covered it up, even though some of those he molested were his sisters. Even though he knew his own son was a molester, Jim Bob Duggar, his father, said “rape and incest represent heinous crimes and as such should be treated as capital crimes.”
Josh told his parents in 2002 that he molested a girl in their home and they said nothing. In 2006, after more girls are molested, they go to the police and send him to a counseling camp. The law enforcement officer (who is now in prison for possessing child sexual exploitation material) that was all that needed to be done. It’s not until 2015 does the information get to the public. The 2006 police report was destroyed and the Duggars admit on TV that four of the victims were Josh’s sisters. However, what really has them angry is that the police information was made public.
He also cheated on his wife via an internet matching site called Ashley Madison.
In 2017, he and his sisters he molested sued the city and county where he lived for violating their privacy in providing info about the investigation to the press. He claimed he faced “unwarranted public scrutiny.”
In 2021, Josh Duggar was arrested for two counts for child sexual exploitation. The Grand Jury indicted him for knowingly downloading images of children under the age of 12. He was convicted and sentenced to twelve years. He filed a similar suit in 2018.
