MISSISSIPPI- SEXUAL EXPLOIT OF MINOR, RAPE, INCEST
What officials described as a lengthy investigation led to the April indictment and arrest of Hendersonville resident and Christian music artist Phillip Wayne Vaught on child sexual abuse charges.
Vaught was arrested in Mississippi on April 10, 2026, after investigators looked into a delayed report of alleged abuse involving a female juvenile. Hendersonville detectives investigated the allegations, and officials said evidence indicated that sexual abuse had occurred.
A Sumner County grand jury indicted Vaught on 160 charges, including:
- 5 counts alleging sexual abuse of a child, including aggravated rape, rape, and soliciting sexual exploitation
- 76 counts alleging he unlawfully and knowingly used a minor to produce material depicting the minor engaging in sexual activity
- 15 counts alleging unlawful sexual penetration of a person ages 13 to 17, who was at least four years younger than Vaught, while Vaught was in a position of trust
- 3 counts alleging that in February 2017, Vaught knowingly possessed more than 100 images or pieces of material depicting a minor engaging in sexual activity
- 10 counts alleging he knowingly engaged in penetration of a child
- 51 counts alleging he unlawfully and knowingly possessed material depicting a minor engaging in sexual activity
We are not sure those counts qualify as the Christian family values we so often hear about, but what do we normal blue-haired progressive people know anyways, it’s not like it doesn’t make the headlines multiple times a week.
Vaught is held on a $1.5 million bond. His next court date is September 24, 2026 in front of Judge Dee David Gay.

How did the Lord’s words get interpreted into his music while simultaneously sexually exploiting and raping little girls? A wise man would appeal that couldn’t exist. The expression wolf in sheep’s clothing keeps coming to mind while writing up these reports but perhaps MAGA Christian in Jeff Epstein’s pants is more suitable.
