Scott DesJarlais is a Tennessee Republican U.S. representative who has been exposed as a hypocrite on abortion, supporting his ex-wife’s two abortions. But that’s not why he is on the list of Republican Sexual Predators. He had sex with his two of his patients. One of whom claims he encouraged to get an abortion. Also with three co-workers and a pharmaceutical rep. But let’s focus on the patients. He prescribed medication to one of them. They are dependent on him and he has a position of trust and power that he violated. So far with impunity.
Well, the state board of Medical Examiners fined him $500. Two years later a doctor who only slept with one patient lost his license. [See story here.]
In addition, his wife claimed domestic violence and intimidation, including pulling a trigger on a gun outside her door, kicking, hitting, etc.
