Ami Medlin was a teacher at Corinth Holders High School in Wendell, North Carolina. Together with her husband, she groomed and pursued inappropriate relationships with students. Initially, the couple was charged with indecent liberties with a student, first-degree sexual exploitation of a minor and sexual servitude.
They concocted an elaborate conspiracy of exploitation and grooming of a troubled and vulnerable student.
Ami pleaded guilty to taking indecent liberties with a minor in a plea deal that allowed the couple to avoid prison, getting probation. Ami, unlike her husband, must register as a sex offender.
