Jimmy Burland is a Republican lobbyist and lawyer in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He is also a singer/songwriter and a long-time donor to Republican candidates and the party.
When his house was raided by federal agents, he claimed nothing was found.
However, he has been charged with possession of child sexual abuse material.

Newspapers should be using the correct term child sexual abuse material, not the term child porn because that terminology is disingenuous and designed to reduce the true horror of the situation where children are abused during the disgusting, vile and violent acts of adults who then profit from dissemination of the material.
