Kyle Michale Hilleary was the pastor of Cedar View Baptist Church in Olive Branch, Mississippi. It is a congregation in the Southern Baptist conference. He also taught at Cross Creek Christian Academy. It uses the notorious Abeka curriculum that demonizes LGBRTIQA people and promotes anti-science young earth creationism.
On November 7th, 2023, he was arrested for sexual exploitation of a child. He was released on $250,000 bond the same day. The church released a public statement announcing that he had been suspended.
In some places, child exploitation could include the more archaic meaning of someone like Fagin in “Oliver Twist” making a child steal, however, in Mississippi, it refers only to sexual exploitation of a child.
