
Tammy Tyner AKA Tammy Tyner Moran was the finance officer at Cape Fear Christian Academy in North Carolina. She was charged with six counts of performing sex acts on a students as a substitute parent, six counts of sex acts with a student, two counts of sexual battery, and one count of embezzlement.
In a plea agreement, she submitted an Alford plea for two counts of sexual battery. Instead of serving the 120 days, the sentences were suspended. She will serve two years probation and register as a sex offender. Probation for raping exchange students living in her home. The other charges were dismissed.
An Alford plea is a save-face plea. The defendant admits that the prosecution has enough evidence to convict, but they don’t have to say they are guilty.
