Kent Daniel Prestwich was a nursery leader from Lewiston, Utah, for the LDS church. He was arrested in October 2023 for possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material. An investigator saw an IP address requesting Child Sexual Abuse Material via peer-to-peer and tracked the IP to Prestwich. After executing a search warrant, investigators found nine materials of child sexual exploitation of little girls who appeared to be between six and ten years old. The materials are described in the affidavit.
He is being held without bail, in part to protect him from his confessed suicidal ideation after being caught. He admitted to downloading Child Sexual Abuse Material for fifteen years.
