Erick Allen Mosteller is a former Church of Latter Day Saints youth leader and a donor to the “Sound of Freedom” crowdfunded film. In a plea agreement, he pleaded guilty to two counts of possessing Child Sexual Abuse Material. He was sentenced to 250 days in jail and given credit for times served meaning he will be released in six months.
He admitted seeking out Child Sexual Abuse Material since 2002 but has claimed he was “researching” after seeing “Sound of Freedom.” Another claim was he was set up by his wife who divorced him after his arrest. These claims violated his plea agreement to take accountability but he still got a very light sentence.
