Aaron Doyle Mirtsching was a youth pastor at Thrive Church and a kindergarten teacher at New Dimensions Charter School in North Carolina. In August, 2023, he was arrested for three counts of exploitation of a child through possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material. The material presented children between the ages of 8 to 10 being sexually abused. He was released with a $20,000 bond.
Within the week, he was arrested again and charged with ten counts of indecent liberties with a child under age 16. He was released on $50,000 bond.
Then he was again arrested and charged with two counts of indecent liberties of a child. He was released on a total of $220,000 bond.
He pled guilty to 3 counts of statutory sex offense w a child by an adult, 1 count of statutory sex offense w a child 13, 14, or 15 yrs old and 5 counts of taking indecent liberties w a child & has been sentenced to 31 to 46 yrs in prison.
