Mel Gibson is an actor who has widespread success and has starred in several hugely successful movies. In addition to being famous for his acting, Gibson has an infamously quick temper which he uses as an excuse for his verbal abuse.
His temper applies to his familial relationships as well. He has been accused of domestic violence and pleaded no contest to battery of his former girlfriend. He was sentenced to three years probation. After he completed probation, he had his record expunged in 2014.
He also had two DUI convictions expunged in 2009.
