Adrienne Peña-Garza is the Chair of the Hildalgo County GOP in Texas and a fellow at The Club for Growth, the organization that worked assiduously to rid the Republicans of moderates. She is being sued for her alleged role in covering up her brother’s sexual harassment and assault. Her brother is Aron Peña.
It’s alleged Peña has been allowed to harass women and young girls for twelve years and that Peña-Garza has protected him and given him political cover. The suit alleges she was aware of the assaults and harassment and did nothing to protect any of the girls he victimized. “In fact, instead of protecting these girls she made an effort to protect her brother by covering up for his indiscretions and attacked any victim that had the courage to report her brother’s abuse…perpetrated on these young girls whose only crime was wanting to be involved in the democratic process.”
The judge assigned the civil suit ruled dismissing her part of the case since she is alleged to have played a role by protecting her brother.
