William Morrissey was a school resource officer, a police officer in school, at Auburn High School, in Auburn, NY. In early 2022, he was arrested for sexual abuse and official misconduct. He was alleged to have groomed and sexually abused a 14-year-old girl who attended the school where he worked. He was also alleged to have asked the girl to lie.
He was ordered not to communicate with the victim but he violated the protection order by contacting her on SnapChat. He was indicted for contempt.
