Scott Christner was a youth pastor at First Baptist Church in Goshen, Indian. He led a group of pre-teen boys called The Olympians. In 2019, one boy came forward and alleged he touched him inappropriately. He was arrested and four more boys came forward. He was charged with ten felony counts of child molestation and two felony counts of sexual misconduct with a minor. The children were ages all under fourteen when they were molested.
He pleaded guilty to five of the twelve charges in November 2022 to felony child molestation charges as part of a plea deal. He was sentenced to serve twenty years in prison with twenty-one years suspended that could be imposed if he violates probation.
