850: Vito Barbieri

Vito Barbieri is an Idaho state representative who should shame every person who voted for him. Here are a few highlights:

• He wanted to know why women couldn’t swallow a camera for a remote gynecological exam, whereupon a doctor explained that swallowed pills do not travel to the vagina.
• He defended Rep. Giddings who doxxed the intern raped by Aaron von Ehlinger saying there is no proof that doxxing that intern would discourage other whistleblowers.
• He actually wrote a letter to the sentencing judge to tell him that von Ehlinger was a stand-up guy.

To be perfectly clear, he didn’t have a word of concern for von Ehlinger’s victim, a young woman who was not only raped by von Ehlinger, but savaged by his party when Rep. Giddings put her name out on Facebook. She and her family were threatened and Barbieri says the rapist always acted in accord with his ideals.
