Jonathan Young was the Sunday School teacher at Firstborn Baptist Church in Benson, North Carolina. In 2022, he was convicted of sexually abusing three girls at church and on church buses. One of the survivors, Brianna Holland, went public and said the abuse began when she was nine and continued for two years. The youngest victim was only seven.
Brianna came forward four years later, when she was seventeen. A year later, Young was arrested. He was charged of sex crimes against three children, one was Brianna’s sister. He was convicted and sentenced to 87 to 109 years.
